What will you get from this book?

I was excited upon receiving this book as I expected an exciting review of witchcraft as understood in the Medieval period, unfortunately it was almost purely an analysis of one person's unexciting interpretation of the malleus maleficarum. If you are looking for a more exciting and thorough history I highly recommend Nancy Caciola's Discerning Spirits. This book is also somewhat incomplete as it is roughly 1/3 of Bailey's dissertation chopped into book form explaining much of its overemphasis on a single figure, perhaps when he has published the rest it will be more thorough and therefore enjoyable.
