I was disappointed with a book that I had expected to be a useful introduction to Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow. The book contains little information that is not in the on-line help. It is not helpful to a student trying to learn to use these powerful programs. I had expected this book to be an introduction (e.g. basic) introduction to the programs, but it did not cover any detail and offered little value to the reader. There is a need for a book that explains how to use the programs to someone that is not already familiar with them. Unfortunately this is not the book for that purpose. There are many pages of listings of the PATH that add no value. The examples are mostly from the distribution and do not add new information. Overall, and extremely disappointing book.
