Beginning Ruby on Rails E-Commerce: From Novice to Professional (Volume 0)

The overall concept of the book is excellent. It gives a nice overview of what Ruby on Rails can do in a processional E-Commerce environment. It also covers some really convenient Ruby Gems. However, it uses the older version of Rails and even as such the examples are buggy. I'd give it more stars if the errata gave example fixes in both the older and the newer version of Rails (the differences between 1 and 2 are vast). I really wish I could give this book a better review because I REALLY like the concept and layout. The overview of the SCRUM Project Management concept is, well, interesting if sketchy. APRESS really needs to put more effort into providing editors for their authors and the overall concept of their books is excellent, while execution is lacking.
