وقتی پروژه دارای مسیر uiBundles/*/src/ است و کار شامل ساخت یا پیکربندی Custom Application برای میزبانی UI bundle در Lightning Experience می‌شود، این مهارت باید فعال شود. برای ساخت metadata رکورد CustomApplication و نمایش UI bundle در App Launcher، یا وجود فایل applications/*.app-meta.xml که نیاز به تغییر دارد، مناسب است. همچنین برای نمایش app در Lightning App Launcher بدون Digital Experience Site کاربرد دارد. برای این مورد از generating-custom-application استفاده نشود؛ appهای UI bundle از tabs، action overrides یا flexipages استفاده نمی‌کنند.
